Rightists put up protest tent at PM’s residence – Israel News, Ynetnews

As Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prepares to leave for New York for a trilateral meeting with the US and Palestinian presidents, right-wing activists have decided to put up a protest tent in front of his home in Jerusalem, marking the first rightist demonstration against him.

The protestors claim freezing construction in settlements is “Peace Now’s dream”, and Yesha Council Chairman Danny Dayan said at the protest that “in recent months Netanyahu has turned Israel into the sucker of the region”. He recognized a Palestinian state, accepted the freeze in settlements, and in return has received a slap on the cheek and a toughening of stance from the Palestinians.
